Replacing your oil pan bolts with stainless steel serrated nuts and allen-key head studs allows constant torque to be applied to the oil pan and prevents bolts from loosening or backing out as the motor heat cycles and vibrates. The FD oil pan is prone to developing leaks, and keeping all of the nuts properly torqued significantly helps this issue. We recommend replacing your oil pan bolts with studs during an oil change or while you're resealing your oil pan. The supplied studs are sufficient length to be used with a stock oil pan, and also with an add-on oil pan brace.
