RS+ FPSpec Forged Wheels

We are excited to announce the introduction of the new SakeBomb Garage RS+ Forged Wheel. You may recognize this wheel from the '99 Spec' Type RS RX-7 FD from Japan - a truly OEM+ JDM wheel design that we have always loved. Unfortunately these wheels were only ever available from Mazda as a staggered 8" Front and 9" Rear, and were made from a heavy cast aluminum. We wanted to update this design and bring it back.

After 3D scanning a set of original Mazda wheels, we set to work optimizing this new wheel for strength and weight, increasing the width to 9.5" and optimizing it to fit multiple chassis. This curvy and understated 5 spoke design is the cherry on top for any OEM+ or '99 Spec' FD RX-7 build that's looking for that perfect period correct look. We've also found this wheel looks fantastic on just about any chassis we put it under, including the NC Miata, S2000, and RX-8, and we're excited to bring more fitments to market soon.

Our wheels are CAD optimized for fitment and durability and fully forged from premium aluminum, offering exceptional strength without the weight penalty. Forged under 10,000 tons of pressure to give you a wheel that is the ultimate lightweight to strength ratio, all of our wheels are durability tested according to JWL standards. We’ve also optimized the sizing to allow for larger tires while fitting within the stock fenders, ensuring a wider stance for improved grip and handling. With a hub-centric design and load ratings tailored to specific chassis, these wheels are built to perform.

To keep your tires firmly in place under heavy braking and acceleration, we’ve incorporated knurled bead seats. We've also ensured that the wheels will clear all of SakeBomb Garage’s upgradeable big brake kits, including our entire range of AP Competition and Wilwood setups big brake kit setups, as well as our range of FPSpec suspension kits. And for that finishing touch, our color-matched center caps ensure a seamless look.
